What to expect

Thank you for your patience during the global pandemic. Your cooperation has been greatly appreciated. We continue to follow local health department guidelines to assure a safe and comfortable visit to our facility. 


24 hours prior to your appointment:

  • You will be contacted to confirm your appointment.
  • You may be asked the pre-screening questions below.
  • If any concerns arise we will reschedule your appointment. 

 

When you arrive:

 

  • Any patient showing symptoms of illness will not be permitted into the exam rooms and will be rescheduled.
  • Our exterior, main entrance is now on the northeast side of the building. The interior entrance will remain locked to limit interactions with other patients and building tenants.
  • Family, friends, and transport services may be asked to remain in the waiting area, but are now allowed in the exam rooms on a limited basis.

What to expect during your appointment: 

 

  • We invite you to use hand-sanitizer.
  • Mask are optional, and our staff may continue to wear a surgical masks.
  • We will escort you to your designated exam room.
  • Please refrain from leaving your exam room during your visit.
  • We hope you will enjoy our high-quality service.

 

Potential Screening Questions

 


  1. Have you had a fever in the past 14 days?
  2. Have you had a cough in the past 14 days?
  3. Have you had a runny nose in the past 14 days?
  4. Have you traveled out of the state in the past 14 days?
  5. Have you been in a group of 10 or more people in the past 14 days?
  6. Are you having difficulty breathing? 
  7. Are you unable to eat or drink? 
  8. Are you too weak to care for yourself?
  9. Are you currently having difficulty smelling or tasting?

 

Are Prosthetic & Orthotic Services considered essential health benefits?


On March 19, 2020 the National Association for the Advancement of Orthotics and Prosthetics (NAAOP) sent a letter to all state governors, COVID-19 State Task Forces, and health insurance commissioners stating that O&P patients must have access to continued care during the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  To reduce the risk of infection, NAAOP also called for federal, state, and local governments to issue further guidance and safety protocols to minimize transmission of the virus during patient care encounters.  To read the full letter, click the link below.

Patients may be screened during their confirmation call and/or when they arrive

 

  • If any symptoms or history of possible exposure is determined the patient will be asked to reschedule

 

The east entrance will be designated as the main entrance and the internal door will remain locked

 

  • By using the external door we can limit interaction with other patients and patrons of the building
  • If a wheelchair is needed, we are happy to bring one to you in the parking lot and bring you in.  Simply call (801) 392-0075

 

We have increased our protocols in sanitizing our patient rooms and common areas

 

  • Each patient may be asked to apply hand-sanitizer when entering our office and mask use is optional 
  • All non-disinfectable materials have been removed from the rooms
  • Rooms are disinfected regularly

 

Employees that experience symptoms will follow health department guidelines.

 

  • Employees will follow local health department recommendations, including quarantine as needed until the employee is shown to be fully recovered or tests negative for the virus

 

We will continue to see patients until otherwise directed from the local heath department.
